What We Believe
Grace Lutheran Church is an active people of God who share and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Word and Sacrament. Connecting people to Christ, by connecting people to people.
We believe the tenets of the Christian faith as they are outlined in the three ecumenical creeds: the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed, as well as the teaching of Martin Luther and the reformers that are summarized in three short phrases: Grace alone, Scripture alone, Faith alone.

GRACE ALONE
God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him, and don’t deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.
SCRIPTURE ALONE
The Holy Bible is God’s inerrant and infallible Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. It is the sole rule and standard for Christian doctrine.
FAITH ALONE
By His suffering and death, Jesus substituted Himself for all people and all time, purchasing for them forgiveness and eternal life. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him
We believe that the only true God is the Triune God; one God made of three distinct and separate person
Hebrews 11:1-3, John 3:16, John 5:39, Acts 4:12, 1 Corinthians 12:3
We believe that God desires all people to be saved and know the truth.
We believe that God so loved people that He sent His only Son Jesus to rescue us from our lost condition of sin.
We believe that it is only in and through God’s Son Jesus that a person has fellowship with God, as Jesus Himself said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 . Jesus Christ, His life, death, resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father in heaven is at the heart of all that is preached and taught at Grace. Through a personal relationship with Jesus that begins in baptism and continues with hearing God’s Word, one becomes and remains a child of God. (John 3 : 5-8.)
We believe that the Holy Spirit brings us to and keeps us in saving faith through God’s Word, Holy Baptism, and the Lord’s Supper.
We believe that through the Church, God equips and empowers believers to serve Him by serving others and sharing the Good News about Jesus.
